Sir Thomas Kiley

Sir Thomas was a playing member of the club in the 1920’s and was part of the ‘C’ Grade (fourth) Premiership winning teams of the 1920’s. Sir Thomas was Honorary Treasurer of the club for 1926/27 season and subsequently served as President of the Qld Cricket Association from 1965-1969.

Sir Thomas, who died on 6 November 1990, was a member of State Parliament from 1944 to 1966 during which time he rose to the position of State Treasurer and was known as a fighter against corruption decades before it was fashionable.

Sir Thomas was knighted in 1966 as Knight Commander of the British Empire.
